WALPA is a non-profit organization and relies on its members and sponsors for financial support. As we navigate our current financial situation, one approach we are pursuing is fundraising. Fundraising will help put us on a more secure financial footing for our operations, and for supporting student scholarships. Have you attended a fundraiser or helped support other non-profits? One of our key fundraisers for student scholarships has been the raffle and silent auction held at the annual meeting. We need donations from our members for the conference in Moses Lake perhaps something from a favorite local business or vendor. Are you skilled at knitting, printmaking, or crafting? Homemade items are a big hit as well! These items could be merchandise or services (maybe both!). Donations for experiences (guided hikes, paddles, etc.) are also encouraged.
