Ty Stephenson

Ty is a River Conservation Fellow at American Rivers working on dam removal in Pennsylvania. He recently earned his M.S. from Western Washington University where he studied benthic macroinvertebrate communities in mountain lakes in collaboration with the National Park Service. Previously, Ty worked with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Wyoming Game and Fish Department, and Trout Unlimited. Ty is from Southwest Virginia and earned his Bachelor’s at Virginia Tech studying Fish and Wildlife Conservation.
